Do you want to be cheaper, faster, and better than your competitors?
Your value propositions are the connection between your business and your customers
The SlightlySkew team often meets business owners running small to medium sized businesses with an underlying belief that if they do things faster, cheaper or better than their competitors they will be in the driving seat. We think this believe stems from the factory economy started some 300 years ago by Adam Smith with his “Wealth of Nations” publication. This view that the business, managed by managers reporting to the investors, employing the cheapest labour will be the winners. If we unpack the faster, cheaper and better concept a little we will find that to outperform your competitors with these you just might find yourself on a very serious downward spiral. Something has to be compromised. It could be the quality of your offerings, the lack of product development (be better) due the lack of research and development, poor customer support due to a lack of funds, etc. With this approach you could well become like so many businesses competing in the market but providing mediocre products and services.
SlightlySkew experiences that those owners crafting their art (value) into their business, flourishes. The reason, consumers today are discontented and annoyed with the mediocracy resulted from the factory economy and are looking for that “something” different, or what we call SlightlySkew.
Tony Robbins, an American author, coach and speaker, emphasises the need for businesses to be customer-centric, understanding the changing needs, desires, and challenges of your customers. Pillar 2 of our SlightlySkew approach guides businesses in truly understanding their customers (minimum viable audience aka Seth Godin), formulating the true and real value to be delivered and how to interact with the customer through the whole customer journey. More important is continuously exceeding your customer expectations and ensure it is easy to deal with you. SlightlySkew is a business crafting method that designs and integrates the functional and emotional requirements of your customer to create extraordinary value. We ensure the interconnectedness of every part of your business because when all the parts work together in harmony, they create a powerful impact which delivers extraordinary value.
